Das ber\u00fchmte englische Schiff, mit dem Darwin und Fitz Roy eine der wichtigsten wissenschaftlichen Reisen der Geschichte unternahmen, segelte zweimal hindurch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bei diesen Fahrten hatte der Halt der HMS Beagle in diesem Kanal eine wichtige Bedeutung: der Kontakt mit den Eingeborenen der Insel, Yamanas genannt, war der Ausgangspunkt einer Geschichte, die mit der Entf\u00fchrung von 4 Eingeborenen beginnt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese wurden mit englischen Namen getauft und nach Gro\u00dfbritannien gebracht, um dort zu zivilisierten Wesen erzogen zu werden.
