Und manche sagen, dass es fr\u00fcher als das Land des Rauchs bekannt war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/herrera-traybel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Fotos-051.jpg?w=900&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-221\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Legende besagt, dass Magellan nach seiner Expedition, die die Meerenge \u00fcberquerte, die heute seinen Namen tr\u00e4gt, sich daran erinnerte, gro\u00dfen Rauch von der K\u00fcste dieser Insel kommen zu sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als diese Geschichten Europa erreichten, beschloss jemand, den Namen willk\u00fcrlich in Feuerland zu \u00e4ndern.<br>Wenn es Rauch gibt, gibt es auch Feuer \u2013 richtig?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00dcbrigens: Feuerland wurde ab Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts von Europ\u00e4ern kolonisiert und wuchs langsam in der Bev\u00f6lkerung.<br>Argentinien und Chile hatten Grenzprobleme und versuchten beide, Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t zu erlangen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1884 wurde im S\u00fcden der Insel, am Ufer des Beagle-Kanals, Ushuaia gegr\u00fcndet.<br>Seine Bev\u00f6lkerung wuchs dank des bekannten Gef\u00e4ngnisses, das heute ein Museum ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Seeverkehr ist von gro\u00dfer Bedeutung und die Tourismusindustrie lockt Hunderte von Touristen an diesen Ort: das Ende der Welt und auch das Ende der Panamericana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Viele reisen von Alaska nach Ushuaia oder andersherum. 17.000 km an Abenteuern.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diese Insel hat einen besonderen Namen.
